The Houthis also claimed to have succeeded in forcing back the aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman which was on standby in the Red Sea. The claim was made by Houthi Spokesperson, Brigadier General Yahya Saree on Monday (12/23). Saree said that his troops were able to repel the US-UK airstrikes on Saturday (12/21). This operation was launched with eight cruise missiles and 17 drones. Reporting from Al Mayadeen via Tribunnews, Wednesday (12/25/2024), the Houthis said that the battle resulted in significant achievements. They claimed that most of the enemy aircraft withdrew from Yemeni airspace over the waters of the Red Sea. Not only that, it was also said that the USS Harry S. Truman which was the target of the missile, was withdrawn from the Red Sea to the Northern waters. Houthi said that his success in thwarting the US-UK aggression was a form of commitment and readiness of his troops.
