Today I'm testing a speaker that might be an interesting option for DJs or low-budget sound projects: the Krack KPA18FX. In this video, I'll tell you about my experience using this 18-inch speaker in a Gauss-type box and give you my opinion on its performance, power, and sound quality. Ready to see how this speaker performs? Join me! ???? What will you find in the video? I'll start by explaining the reason behind this test. We know that professional audio equipment can be very expensive, so today we're exploring an inexpensive alternative: mounting loose speakers in our own systems. With the Krack KPA18FX installed in a Gauss box, we'll see if this 1200W RMS, 8-ohm speaker delivers on what it promises. Krack KPA18FX Speaker Specifications This speaker comes with interesting features such as a sensitivity of 98 dB and a frequency response between 35 Hz and 1600 Hz. I explain what this means in practice and we evaluate whether it can really deliver powerful bass in this type of configuration. When unboxing, I see that the design is aesthetic, although I notice that the magnet is small and the structure is light, which could affect its bass performance. ???? Sound Test and Frequency Response With the help of measurement and analysis software (Smart), I measure the frequency response to find out to what extent this speaker reproduces bass. Although the manufacturer claims a response from 35 Hz, my tests indicate that it starts to reproduce well from 41 Hz and behaves best around 85 Hz. This type of testing helps us understand how the speaker would perform in different environments. ???? Comparison and Musical Test To better understand its performance, I compare this speaker with a high-end RCF. While the RCF hits a bit more bass, the Krack KPA18FX achieves similar results under controlled conditions. Plus, I test how it sounds with different music genres, from cumbia to electronica, and give you my opinion on its overall performance. While it has good bass response, for large events it might need additional subwoofer support. ???? Conclusion: Is it worth it? Priced at $3,000 pesos, the Krack KPA18FX is an affordable speaker for those looking for good sound without spending too much. Although it wouldn't be my first choice for the Vampire Sound set due to the lack of power, I give it a rating of 8/10 for its cost-benefit ratio and sound quality. Without a doubt, an economical alternative for small events or to complement larger sound systems. ???? Do you have any speakers in mind that you want me to try?
