The Volkswagen Golf was once such a legend that the entire compact, or as it is also called, lower-middle class, was named after it. And when the MK3, i.e. the Golf III, appeared in 1991, it carried on this royal title without controversy or wavering, even though it seemed as if it was no higher than the second Golf. And this specific VW Golf 1.6 GL is also a well-preserved old man's car, with few kilometers and rich equipment - only one of the GTI or VR6 versions would be better than this! Of course, it's a shame not to mention the sports versions - although the 1.6-liter gasoline engine was not considered weak on the price list of the Golf at the time, its 75 horsepower is not that much.
