Instead of a good mood and relaxed atmosphere, despair and interpersonal conflicts dominate everyday life in the "Kornhaus" tourist restaurant. This is not what boss Inken (38) had imagined when she fulfilled a lifelong dream with the restaurant in Mornshausen, Hesse. Her plan of a flourishing tourist magnet is not paying off. The restaurant does buzz when the weather is good, when cyclists and hikers stop in at the "Kornhaus", but otherwise Inken's restaurant is largely empty. The indoor restaurant is hardly visited and long waiting times for the dishes put a damper on the gastronomic plan. Chef Sieglinde (47), on the other hand, is calm. With 30 years of professional experience, she is completely confident and the wishes and criticisms of the untrained boss bounce off her. The professional chefs Andi Schweiger, Frank Oehler and Ole Plogstedt are excited to see whether the culinary mills in the "Kornhaus" really grind so slowly.
