This Monday, November 25, the 2025 Finance Bill arrives in session in the Senate. The socialist senator from Haute-Garonne and president of the Finance Committee begins the examination of the text "with one regret", that of not working on a version already "seen by the National Assembly", after the rejection of the Budget by the deputies. But the elected official hopes to "recall the positions of the left", by taking up in particular some of the measures proposed by the New Popular Front, in particular the socialists, in the Lower House. The senators wish to lower this savings effort to two billion, because, according to Claude Raynal, the localities "are not directly responsible" for the financial situation of the country.
