Some residents of the Baltupiai microdistrict in Vilnius were disturbed by the unexpected establishment of a Muslim prayer house next to their apartment building. Several dozen Muslims come to pray here. Over the past few years, thousands of labor immigrants from the East have arrived in Lithuania, which poses challenges for their integration. How not to make Western European mistakes when integrating immigrants? What is the basis for the anxiety of some of our societies about newcomers? How to resolve the emerging tensions?
