Parliamentarians approved the 19th Government's program, and the new Cabinet of Ministers led by Social Democrat Gintautas Paluckas was sworn in and began work. The government plans to increase the progressivity of personal income tax, commit to increasing the amount of tax-free income annually and bringing it as close as possible to the minimum monthly salary. The ruling party also plans to abolish automatic inclusion in the second pension pillar. True, the opposition is already criticizing the program - allegedly additional state revenue is necessary to implement future promises, but specific sources of revenue are not named. The protracted search for ministers for the Ministries of Environment and Justice has also raised questions. How to assess the new Government's program and its members is discussed by Seimas member, conservative Radvilė Morkūnaitė-Mikulėnienė, Minister of Social Security and Labor Inga Ruginienė, Head of the Political Communication Research Center of the Faculty of Communication of Vilnius University Linas Kontrimas, and TV3 portal host Vladimiras Laučius. The program is hosted by Lukas Oželis.
