There have probably never been as many pensioners working in Hungary as there are now: their number has quadrupled in the past 13 years. KSH officially counts 118,000 working pensioners. The majority of them probably looked for work again for financial reasons: according to surveys, 40 percent of people over the age of 65 live below the subsistence minimum.
