Lughnasadh is a Celtic pagan holiday of the beginning of autumn. The holiday is named after the Celtic god of craftsmanship, Lugh. According to one version, Lugh wanted to arrange a holiday in honor of his adoptive mother, Tailtiu, who died of exhaustion. Therefore, the holiday was usually timed to coincide with the first grain harvest. At the lecture, philosopher Oleg Anatolyevich Zotov will tell the audience about the Irish traditions associated with this holiday and its historical roots.
