29 years have passed since the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. Approximately 105,000 houses were completely destroyed, and approximately 144,000 were partially destroyed (according to the Cabinet Office). Many buildings also collapsed in the Noto Peninsula earthquake that occurred on January 1st this year.
