Actress Akino Nobuko was diagnosed with stage 3 esophageal cancer in June 2022. After overcoming a four-and-a-half-month battle with the disease, she has returned to work for the first time in about six months. On Akino's 66th birthday, TV Asahi announcer Oshita Yoko spoke to her.
