Amur.life journalists visited a community of Old Believers who settled in the Svobodnensky District of the Amur Region. The head of the settlement, 83-year-old Fyodor Kilin, came to Russia from Latin America with his wife, children and grandchildren. Since 2016, the large family has lived in the Amur Region, preserving their centuries-old foundations and traditions. The Old Believers settled in a separate settlement, so their life is not in the public eye and arouses constant interest among those around them. The Amur.life film crew also managed to see what is special about such a life, where men wear beards and embroidered shirts, and women wear self-sewn sarafans and headdresses, and where children are taught to work from childhood.
