The Mollier diagram allows us to know the state of the refrigerant as a function of pressure and enthalpy. It was deduced from the pressure-temperature relationship existing in liquefiable gases. This diagram shows the enthalpy h in kJ/kg (energy content of the fluid) on the abscissa and the absolute pressure P on a logarithmic scale in bars (10³ Pa) on the ordinate. Each refrigerant will therefore have its own diagram (log P, h). Generally speaking, the enthalpy diagram shows a change of state zone where the fluid is in a two-phase state. (Liquid + vapor mixture)
