The Clinic and Polyclinic for Neurology at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) is a certified specialist clinic for the treatment of one of the most common chronic diseases of the nervous system: Parkinson's. A neurodegenerative disease that is accompanied by typical symptoms such as movement disorders, stiff muscles, limited facial expressions, tremors, balance problems and difficulty swallowing. In Germany alone, it is estimated that around 400,000 people suffer from it. Priv.-Doz.
