He began his career as a preacher after he converted to Islam and wrote a book about his life journey. The man born in Palembang, January 31, 1984, was born into a non-Muslim family, specifically Catholic. Born and raised in Palembang, Felix Siauw had an environment where 95 percent of his neighbors were non-Muslim. Felix began studying Islam when he continued his studies at the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB). Previously, Felix attended Xaverius 1 Catholic High School in Palembang. He began to convert to Islam in 2002, when he was 18 years old, even though he had parents who were not Muslim, both of his parents supported Felix's decision. Felix's decision to convert to Islam began when he was in 3rd grade of junior high school. He began to feel many things that did not match his reason. After leaving Catholicism, Felix looked for another religion. Felix had experienced himself not believing in the existence of God. However, when studying biology about reproduction that humans are created from sperm that does not have reason, Felix thought again and believed that humans were created from something special, and also that God exists. After converting to Islam, he faced many challenges and obstacles which he believed were the will of Allah SWT for a better life. To deepen his knowledge of Islam, Felix studied many materials, such as monotheism, aqidah, da'wah, and sharia. His life partner also played a role in helping him deepen his knowledge of Islam and also guided him to become a ustaz while studying at IPB, and finally got married in 2006. In 2013, Felix was given the opportunity to write a book and his book sold well among the Indonesian people.
