These roads have been the same for centuries and lead to Dalmatia, Istria, Semberija, Posavina and Vojvodina. Some of those roads were cut by the last war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The majority of herders from central Bosnia still adhere to centuries-old traditions and are nomads even in the 21st century. In search of food, they and their herds cross several hundreds of kilometers. In the spring, the nomads return to where they left in the fall, which is the Vlašić mountain, where for centuries they have been raising the Vlašić Pramenka, an autochthonous breed of sheep from which they make the famous Vlašić cheese. near Turbet, who built a barn for his 500 sheep and provided enough food for the winter for his flock. And he built a modern house for his shepherd, Dževad Đulan, and gave him a salary of 1000 convertible marks.
