Prince Lazar's seal, which was recently discovered at Rudnik, and which Lazar used to authenticate mining permits and charters, reveals part of the history of medieval Serbia. The first Serbian dinar with a Cyrillic inscription from 1330, minted by King Dragutin, was also unearthed at Rudnik. There is almost no Serbian ruling family from the Middle Ages that did not mint their money at Rudnik, which in the 14th and 15th centuries was one of the two most important mining and trading centers in Serbia. Mining on this mountain has been going on since prehistoric times, and the mine's mineral wealth was used by Celts and Goths and Romans and Serbs and Turks and Austro-Hungarians, and it is still used today. No other mountain in Serbia has marked the history of the Serbian state and the Serbian people as much as Rudnik, under whose slopes both Serbian uprisings against the Turks took place in the 18th century. The show's editor, Branko Stanković, is the author of 18 documentaries and two dramas that were screened on RTS, as well as many documentary shows, which, like the films, were awarded at domestic and international festivals.
