PUTIN'S WAR - Frontline Ukraine: 2,500 km of war and no peace in sight - WELT special correspondent Christoph Wanner reports from Kiev. The war in Ukraine continues with heavy losses on both sides. The Donetsk and Kursk regions in particular are in focus, where fierce fighting and dynamic movements characterize the situation. A survey by the Kiev Institute of Sociology shows that 38% of Ukrainians are now prepared to make territorial concessions for peace - a significant increase compared to the previous year. At the same time, mistrust between Kiev and Moscow remains the biggest hurdle for peace talks. Russia currently controls around 20% of Ukrainian territory, which corresponds to the area of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg combined. Meanwhile, fighting is also escalating on the Black Sea coast, where kamikaze boats are being used more and more frequently. #ukraine #war #kiev #donetsk #peace Subscribe to the WELT YouTube Channel / weltvideotv WELT DOKU Channel / weltdoku WELT Podcast Channel / weltpodcast WELT Netzreporter Channel / dienetzreporter The WELT news livestream http://bit.ly/2fwuMPg The top news on WELT.de http://bit.ly/2rQQD9Q The media library on WELT.de http://bit.ly/2Iydxv8 WELT news channel on Instagram / welt.nachrichtensender WELT on Instagram / welt On our own behalf: Due to the high volume of irrelevant and offensive posts, we are currently unable to accept any more comments.
