Pursuit / appeal for witnesses Our SIV has just forced a car to stop on the A4 highway. The driver of the car was checked following a regular check. After it turned out that he was wanted for a prison sentence of 50 days, he got into his car and evaded arrest. Colleagues from Leiden chased the driver across the A4, causing multiple collisions and driving on. At the Prins Clausplein, in collaboration with the SIV, we finally managed to force the vehicle to stop and arrest the driver. He is suspected of attempted manslaughter, causing danger or obstruction (art 5 / art 5a) and leaving the scene of an accident. During the action, there was successful cooperation between our team, the basic teams, the National Unit South West and the arrest team in The Hague.
