Pumalín Douglas Tompkins National Park is located in the province of Palena, Los Lagos Region in Chile. You can enter from Caleta Gonzalo and stay in Chaiten as your base of operations. Unless you use a tent or camper. This national park is located within the Southern Andes Temperate Rainforest Biosphere Reserve. It is one of the great legacies of the philanthropist and environmental activist Douglas Tompkins. We went to the park in November 2023, being our 29th national park.
