He also focuses in particular on Freud's theory of psychoanalysis related to the centrality of the role of the unconscious in human behavior, and how dreams are an expression of the repressed unconscious in the human mind. The writer also tells us about the Oedipus complex and other matters related to Freudian psychoanalysis. About the author ======= An Egyptian thinker, Salama Moussa was born in 1887 AD in the village of Bahnbay, seven kilometers from Zagazig, to Coptic parents. He joined the primary school in Zagazig, then moved to Cairo to join the Tawfikiya School and then the Khedivial School, and obtained his baccalaureate degree in 1903 AD. In 1906, he traveled to France and stayed there for three years, where he learned about Western philosophers and thinkers. He then moved to England for four years to complete his law studies, but he neglected his studies and devoted himself to reading. He read many of the giants of Western thinkers and writers, such as: Marx, Voltaire, Bernard Shaw, and Charles Darwin. Moussa was greatly influenced by Charles Darwin's theory of evolution. During his travels, Moussa learned about the latest developments in Egyptology.
