Thursday, October 24, 2024 You are watching a gospel sermon from the Free Apostolic Church of Pentecost (EAEP) in Athens (52 Sophokleous Street). For more information on the site: www.christianity.gr / @radiochristianity Bible passage: 1 "Psalm of David." Do not be angry with the wicked, do not be jealous of the workers of iniquity. 2 For as grass they will quickly be cut down, and as green herb they will grow wild. 3 Hope in the Lord and do good; inhabit the earth and tell me the truth; 4 and rejoice in the Lord, and he will give you the matters of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the Lord, and hope in him, and he will act; 6 and he will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your judgment as the noonday. 7 Rest on the Lord and wait for him; do not be angry with him who walks in his way, with a man who does lawlessness. 8 Cease from anger and let go of anger; do not be angry so that you do wickedly. 9 For the wicked will be destroyed, but those who wait for the Lord, they will inherit the earth. 10 For even the wicked will not exist; and you will seek his place, and it will not be found; 11 but the meek will inherit the earth; and they will rest in much peace. 12 The wicked plot against the righteous, and gnash his teeth against him. 13 The Lord will laugh at him, because he sees that his day is coming. 14 The ungodly drew forth their lances and sharpened their bows, to smite the poor and needy, to slay them as they walk uprightly. 15 Their sword will resound in their heart, and their bows will be broken. 16 Better is the little of the righteous than the riches of many wicked ones. 17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous. 18 The Lord knows the days of the blameless; and their inheritance will be forever; 19 they will not be ashamed in the time of evil; and in the days of famine they will be satisfied. 20 And the ungodly will be destroyed; and the enemies of the Lord, like the fat of lambs, will be consumed; they will be dissolved in smoke. 21 The wicked borrows and does not repay, but the righteous has mercy and gives. 22 For those blessed by him will inherit the earth, but those cursed by him will be destroyed. 23 When a man's steps are directed by the Lord, his way is pleasing to him. 24 If he falls, he will not be crushed, for the Lord supports his hand. 25 I was young and now I am old, and I have not seen a righteous person forsaken, nor his seed asking for bread. 26 All day long he has mercy and lends, and his seed is a blessing. 27 Turn from evil and do good, and you will abide forever. 28 For the Lord loves judgment, and does not forsake his faithful ones; they will be preserved forever, and the seed of the wicked will be destroyed. 29 The righteous will inherit the earth, and they will dwell on it forever. 30 The mouth of the righteous studies wisdom, and his tongue speaks judgment. 31 The law of his God is in his heart: his steps will not slip. 32 The sinner spies on the righteous and seeks to kill him. 33 The Lord will not leave him in his hands, nor will he condemn him when he judges him. 34 Wait for the Lord and keep his way, and he will raise you up to inherit the earth; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see. 35 He saw the ungodly one lifted up and clothed like a laurel wreath; 36 but he disappeared; and behold, he was not there; and I sought him, and he was not found. 37 Observe the wicked and see the responsibility, for the peaceful man will be abandoned; 38 and the transgressors will all be destroyed; the abandonment of the wicked will be cut off. 39 But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord: he is their strength in times of trouble. 40 And the Lord will help them, and deliver them; he will deliver them from the wicked and save them, because they hoped in him.
