Biological evolution has led to solutions to many different problems, often far beyond human imagination and ingenuity. Does that mean she could do anything? Or is it tightly bound by unwritten rules? In the webinar, we will look at some of the limitations of living organisms, which are given by the basic laws of geometry and physics, as well as some of the ways in which animals cope with them. Why do small animals live in a completely different world than large animals? Why can't animals grow beyond all limits? And what limitations do brain size and the development of intelligence face? The SYPO project - System of support for the professional development of teachers and principals - offered pedagogical staff professional support and the possibility of development at every stage of their career: from beginners to experienced. It ran from 1/1/2018 to 6/30/2023, was implemented by the National Pedagogical Institute of the Czech Republic (NPI ČR), and was financed by the Ministry of Education and Culture and the EU. The project is followed by the project Supporting the curricular work of schools. More information https://www.npi.cz/ As part of the project, 7 methodological cabinets started their activities: - Methodical cabinet Foreign languages - Methodical cabinet Czech language and literature, - Methodical cabinet Mathematics and its applications, - Methodical cabinet Informatics and ICT, - Methodical Cabinet Preschool and First Degree Education, - Methodical Cabinet Natural Science Education - Methodical Cabinet Social Science Education. Methodical cabinets offered active teachers, principals and representatives of ŠPP a space for education and sharing of experiences. They brought hundreds of educational events, participated in the creation of methodological manuals and the offer of webinars. The attention of the project was also focused on - schools with novice teachers, who thanks to the project can use a free model of the support system for novice teachers with many practical inspirations, - members of school management and founders, for whom the Model of the school management support system was created.
