Pruning on corn plants. By pruning the leaves under the fruit. It is a must if you are going to plant follow-up corn. This pruning process can be started when the corn is 55 days old. By removing 3 leaves from the bottom stem. Then when the corn is 65 days old by leaving 4 or 5 leaves under the fruit. And when the corn is 80 days old by leaving 1 leaf attached to the fruit. And when the corn is 85 days old. Ready for follow-up planting.
