I explain step by step the phonetic table, that is, how we pronounce in English so that you can have a permanent reference in this tutorial. Knowing how to pronounce a word in English is not easy, but if you learn how to articulate all the sounds we have, it will be much easier for you to understand and have a native-like pronunciation. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 👨🎓Who am I: I am a native English teacher from Kent, southeast of England. I came to Spain for love, I have been married to my wife for more than 25 years and we have 3 children (now adults). I have been teaching English to Spanish speakers for almost 30 years in all areas from companies, hospitals, the Chamber of Commerce (12 years) to schools and my three English academies. Over the years, I have heard many times 'English is Spain's pending subject', this made me think that there is a problem in the education system. Thousands of students have passed through my hands and I realized that the material available on the market did not convince me for Spanish speakers, so in 2014 I started to write my own method (I call it 'Carter Method' ... I couldn't think of anything else 😅) and it is actually a project in continuous process since although I have the books from zero level to advanced, I never finish adding things along the way. Phonetics has always played an important role for me and my teachers, in all the classrooms of all the academies we have the phonetic table present and even in my series of books for primary school children, each word has the phonetic transcription next to it. During the pandemic, and so that more people could have access to my teachings, I developed my digital pronunciation course and I have met many people around the world thanks to this course and the students who have taken it. I am currently still teaching both in companies and privately. I love my job, it is very rewarding and I hope to be able to help the person who is reading this through my courses or simply my videos on YouTube or other networks. My best tip for learning English: Never throw in the towel...NEVER.
