Psychomotor therapy as a professional field Psychomotor therapy is based on a pedagogical-therapeutic concept of developmental support. Play and movement are important media for experience and interaction. The focus is on supporting children and young people in the areas of socio-emotional development, movement behavior and strengthening self-confidence. The specialists carry out assessments, therapies and support measures. They also work in integrative and preventative settings, supporting and advising those affected and their social environment. In doing so, they work closely with parents and other specialists. The film "Bachelor of Psychomotor Therapy - PMT" is aimed at anyone who is interested in the profession themselves or who wants to advise others on their career choice. It offers an insight into the diverse everyday working life of two specialists in psychomotor therapy. The Intercantonal University of Special Education (HfH) is the only training center for psychomotor therapy in German-speaking Switzerland.
