The planned cancellation of funding for battery research by the BMBF from 2025 has caused great unrest in industry and science. The federal government's new long-term financial plan no longer provides for funding from the climate and transformation fund for new battery research projects; only what is already underway will continue to be financed. And this at a time when a battery industry is to be created in Germany to manufacture, among other things, the drive batteries for electric cars. Prof. Maximilian Fichtner from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and the University of Ulm and Prof. Heiner Heimes from RWTH Aachen discuss the dramatic effects this funding stop will have. Battery Atlas: https://battery-news.de/batterie-atlas/ In the Geladen podcast, Patrick Rosen and Daniel Messling and their guests scientifically examine the topics of #energy transition, #electromobility, #electric car and #battery.
