About :

Have you ever hesitated between putting your razor in the cabin or in the hold when traveling by plane? The complete list of products authorized and prohibited in the hold and in the cabin: https://valise-avion.fr/preparation/a... The video timeline: 00:00: General rules 01:12: Objects authorized in the hold 01:41: Products authorized in the cabin 02:26: Objects authorized in the cabin and in the hold 03:12: Products totally prohibited on planes We have categorized the different objects into four main categories. To summarize, all objects that can be misused, to injure or cause significant damage are prohibited in the cabin and generally authorized in the hold. While those that can self-ignite or have uncontrolled/unstable behavior are prohibited in the hold (like batteries). Inert products (textiles, fibers, plastics, dry food, wood, books, metals, etc.) and small quantities of liquids are allowed in the hold as well as in the cabin (less than 100 ml). I'll tell you right away: All items purchased in Duty-Free can be transported in the cabin as well as in the hold. However, you must leave them wrapped and keep the proof of purchase. For simplicity, you will find the most common examples below: ► 1. Products authorized only in the cabin The following products are only authorized in the cabin: • All items containing a battery (external batteries, laptop, tablet, telephone, smart watch, drone batteries). • A small quantity of batteries in transparent or original packaging • Electronic cigarettes (Do not use even in the toilets x)). • A small disposable lighter, matches provided that you do not take them out of your pocket. • Pets (dogs and cats) weighing less than 8 kg. ► 2. Products authorized only in the hold The following items are only authorized in the hold: • Liquids (5L Max), shaving foam, shampoos, sun creams, moisturizers, etc. • Non-disposable razors • Pointed, sharp objects (Opinel, knife, etc.) • Various work tools (screwdrivers, drills without batteries, etc.) • Fake or non-fake weapons, neutralizing and blunt objects (handcuffs, bladed weapons, etc.) • Avalanche rescue devices. • Pets (dogs and cats) weighing more than 8kg and less than 75kg. ► 3. Items authorized in both the cabin and the hold As mentioned above, inert and non-dangerous items are authorized in both the hold and the cabin: • Drones and drone remote controls (DJI and others) without batteries. • Disposable razors and corded razors. • Textile items. • Dry food and baby food (Milk is an exception). • Medications necessary for your trip. However, you must be able to justify the quantities and present a prescription in English if possible (Unless you are doing a Lille-Nice!). • All liquids and pasty objects in containers not exceeding 100 ml. The container itself presented in a translucent plastic bag. • All non-sharp plastic, wood, metal objects (Keys, Coins, Diving mask, etc.) • Medical oxygen concentrators (I invite you to visit our site for this subject). • Cigarettes and tobacco within the limits of the law. ► 4. Objects strictly prohibited on planes Here we find all products that could affect the safety of travelers and all so-called unstable products: • Refillable lighters, gas bottles, gasoline, paints (And all flammable products). Obviously, in the event of a leak or spark in the hold or cabin, this could be dramatic. • Fireworks and other firecrackers (Even if it's New Year's Eve!). Here too, these objects are very unstable. • Tazers, cartridges, bullets and other ammunition for the same reason. • Protected animals, minerals and plants (The beautiful sand of the Maldives...). Fines can be very severe for a jar of sand... As mentioned above, all objects purchased in Duty-Free can be transported both in the cabin and in the hold. However, they must be left packed and proof of purchase must be kept. If you have any doubts or a really borderline product, we invite you to contact the companies.
