In the Jeonui Monastery, a temporary vow house of the Franciscan Missionary Order, monks from Zambia and Korea live together, calling each other brothers. A temporary vow house refers to a community where those who learn and practice the life of a monk stay before vowing to live as a monk for the rest of their lives. In the case of the Franciscan Missionary Order, they renew their vows every year and make a permanent vow after five years of temporary vows. In the monastery, they live only according to the rules of the monastic community. All activities, such as four daily prayers, self-sufficiency, labor, and service, are based on consideration and cooperation. Monks who want to dedicate their lives to God and live for others. Even the difficult work of repairing a road washed away by heavy rain is part of their service for someone who will pass by on this road. The garden is also tended only as much as necessary. It is not for the purpose of receiving compensation or economic gain. Meal preparation is also done in shifts every day. Zambian monks present the traditional dish 'Nsima' and have a time to understand each other's culture while eating with their hands. The monks stand before God in different ways.
