The V 200 was the first diesel-electric locomotive of the GDR Reichsbahn. From 1970 onwards, known as the 120 series, almost 400 machines from the former Soviet Union came to the DR between 1966 and 1975. Since the first of them were delivered without silencers, the Russian diesel was nicknamed the "Taiga drum". After the fall of the Wall, it was quickly decided to take them out of service. The last ones were running in the mid-nineties. Take a trip with us into the past, to the last days of the German Reichsbahn. Experience "drums" in heavy freight train service once again. Black clouds of diesel in 45 minutes. Enjoy watching. More here: https://www.ekshop.de/dvd-cd/dvd/beru...
