It is dedicated to the memory of Savina Barzasi and other mountaineers who lost their lives in these mountains. The chapel is located at an altitude of about 2,056 meters, near the Bivacco Città di Clusone. The Grotta dei Pagani is a large cave located on the Presolana, a mountain in the Orobie Prealps in Lombardy, Italy. This cave is famous for its history and unique geological features. It has been visited by many notable hikers and mountaineers, including the future Pope Pius XI, who visited the cave in 1888. The cave is located at an altitude of about 2,259 meters and can be reached via trail 315, which starts from the Passo della Presolana. The Grotta dei Pagani is particularly fascinating in winter, when the ice stalactites and stalagmites create a breathtaking natural spectacle. The cave is also the starting point for the normal route to Pizzo della Presolana, one of the highest peaks in the area, which requires adequate mountaineering equipment and stable weather conditions.
