President Magufuli, while addressing the National Workers' Day celebrations (May 1) held at Samora Stadium in Iringa, has rejected the request for a salary increase for workers made by the Tanzania Trade Union Confederation (TUCTA). He said that in his opinion, it is better to allocate funds to major development projects in the country than to increase salaries.
