In today's video, in the wake of the fact that I am now seven months pregnant, I want to share with you some information on how pregnancy, maternity and related matters work in France. To the extent of my knowledge, I also make some comparisons with Italy, but I absolutely do not pretend that this video is exhaustive or to tell you absolute truths. I find that (as with many other things in life) there are advantages and disadvantages in both countries. Small mistake that I noticed during the editing phase: when I talk about weeks of mandatory and 100% covered maternity leave, I say that in France you are entitled to 12 weeks. In reality, the correct number is 16 weeks for the first and second child and 26 weeks from the third child onwards!
