What is a mantra? Mantra is a word in Sanskrit, which in turn is a language spoken in ancient India. Sanskrit is a set of sounds that express the energy of the things they name; therefore, Sanskrit words produce the energetic vibration of that to which they refer. Therefore, when talking about words of this origin, it is common to find several different translations for the same term, which does not mean that one is more correct than another. This variation occurs simply because it is difficult to define an energy vibration in the language of the modern world. This would greatly limit the range of meanings and knowledge that the Sanskrit word offers. Every day, each person's brain is bombarded with information that arrives through interaction with the world, and sounds are a significant component of this set of information received. Each of these sound interactions provokes reactions in the body and mind of the individual. For example, it is easy to notice the reactions that are produced by the body when immersed in sounds such as a traffic jam, with many cars honking, people shouting, complaining... in general, the body translates the stimulus of these sounds as tension, irritation and stress. The same thing happens when the sounds around the person are sounds like a waterfall, birds singing, light music... what happens as a result of this stimulus in the body is generally relaxation, contentment and tranquility.
