We are now the only scientists in Germany to use the medium of film specifically for research and presentation. The approximately 260 film productions made over the past decades are irreplaceable documents of lost knowledge about agriculture, crafts, industrial work and the diverse regional customs. Today we use the medium of film primarily to document current processes of change and to accompany people in the Rhineland in their lives. The result is films about intercultural phenomena and problems, about changes in the world of work, about new forms of social coexistence and about dealing with rituals, customs and traditions. All film documentaries from the LVR Institute for Regional Studies and Regional History are also available on DVD. You can find the complete film catalogue on our homepage under Everyday Culture - Films. ► https://rheinische-landeskunde.lvr.de
