This young woman has suffered from repeated seizures since childhood. In Code source, she talks about her adolescence with this still poorly understood disease and her hope for a cure, on the microphone of Sarah Hamny. In this podcast: Epilepsy is a disease caused by the brain that affects around 650,000 people in France. In many cases, it manifests itself through chronic seizures that are often mild or sometimes much more violent. In this episode of Code source you will hear the testimony of Pauline Grimal, 21 years old. She has suffered from a severe form of epilepsy since childhood; her impressive seizures can make her convulse for several minutes. Two years ago, Pauline underwent brain surgery in the hope of living more normally with this disease. Today, she tells her story on the microphone of Sarah Hamny. When I meet Pauline, I immediately notice her big smile, she has brown hair in a bun and is wearing a black dress. She is very warm, we settle in and she begins to tell us her story. Pauline was born on February 7, 2001 in Evry near Paris. She tells me that she grew up in a loving family with her older sister and her parents. As a child, Pauline was a very good student, one evening while she was at home, Pauline was absent.
