The Indonesian national team is making final preparations ahead of hosting Japan at GBK. The Garuda squad will undergo official training at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium. The team coached by Shin Tae-yong previously trained at the Madya Stadium for the previous three days. Several players including Kevin Diks and Maarten Paes looked relaxed as they left the hotel for GBK. The Indonesian national team has a very tough challenge to get their first three points in the 2026 World Cup qualifying round. Two home matches hosting Japan and Saudi Arabia are opportunities for the Indonesian national team to get points. Indonesia is currently ranked fifth after getting three points from the four matches that have been played.
