How to cast plaster and not ruin your back? Plasters are applied to a properly moistened base, which forms an anchoring spray - syringe or directly to bare masonry. In this case, the plastering mixture is applied with a slightly thinner consistency. When plastering, the mortar is first applied to depressions and large joints. Proceed from the bottom up, and if the total layer of mortar exceeds 20-25 mm, these places are preferably plastered so that the applied plasters dry evenly. When larger layers of plaster are applied once, due to their weight, they settle down and partially detach from the substrate. This manifests itself in ripples when fresh plaster is torn off and smoothed, and in horizontal cracks during subsequent drying. These plasters later fall off in the form of smaller or larger oval surfaces. Plastering is done in so-called plates or using wooden or metal plasterers. These are guiding pre-prepared surfaces that make it easier to maintain a plane during plastering.
