Increasing drought, bark beetles, storms and even forest fires are causing forestry more and more problems! With a specially developed planting machine for the remote-controlled Moritz crawler vehicle, the Pfanzelt company is showing an interesting way of reforesting such areas in a natural way. We have seen this exciting process in practice for you. In the video you can see the Pfanzelt Moritz with two different attachments: First, the area in the forest is prepared for planting. To do this, the Moritz uses the Max forestry milling machine to create planting strips 2 m apart. These strips are then planted using the Plantomat container planting machine. The Plantomat is a proprietary development by the Pfanzelt company. The rotating milling wheel first loosens the surface and pushes the humus layer to the side. The plant is then placed directly in the exposed mineral soil and pressed down. With this mechanical reforestation process, around 100 new trees can be planted per hour.
