Hello, people, I'm Cristian from Fermierul Urban, and in this clip I'll address three topics of discussion about my little CULT OF TOMATOES from my garden: How do my tomatoes look now, about a month after planting the seedlings? What maintenance work have I done since I planted the 100 TOMATO SEEDLINGS until now? Why do I put wood ash at the root of plants? What was my method of planting tomato seedlings this year, that is, the planting scheme and the actual way in which I planted the tomato seedlings to be able to develop new roots from the stem as well, not just from the main root. PLANTING TOMATOES IN THE GARDEN The scheme for planting tomatoes is as follows: the distance between the rows is 105 cm, the distance between the rows, per row, is 65 cm, and the planting depth of the tomato seedlings is 15 cm. PREPARATION OF LAND FOR PLANTING TOMATOES I have milled the ground well with the RURIS 731 ACC1 MOTOR-SAVE, and the tomatoes will be supported by WOODEN TACKLES FOR TOMATOES. TOMATO ASH First of all, burnt wood ash is a very good natural fertilizer, and secondly, with the help of ash, I adjust the PH level in the soil, bringing it to an optimal level. The soil in my garden is a bit acidic, and to reduce this acidity, I have two options: the first, a chemical treatment with solutions specially designed to reduce acidity, and the second...100% natural, 100% organic...is burnt wood ash. ACTIMALIZATION OF TOMATO SEEDLINGS The tomato seedlings were planted on April 23, 2022, but I did not manage to acclimatize them as I should have, because they were TOMATO SEEDLINGS GROWN ON THE BALCONY, and the day after planting, right in on ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN EASTER day, being very hot and strong sun, the seedlings suffered from SUNBURN. And for this reason I had to do a first DEFOLIATION OF THE TOMATOES to remove the burnt leaves from the bottom of the plants. VEGETABLE SOLAR At the moment I don't have a TOMATO SOLAR in my garden, and the reasons why I don't want a solar, at least this year, I will explain in a future clip.
