About :

At the National Museum of Anthropology, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo presented the Mexico Plan. She stated that the main goal is to move from 12th to 10th place among the main economies of the world. She said that it is a long-term vision based on the reduction of imports in the regional market. The T-MEC continues due to its great benefits. She explained that this year the federal government begins the public investment plan in various sectors; the construction of 12 Wellbeing Poles is advancing. She highlighted that in foreign investment the government registers 277 billion dollars from companies interested in establishing themselves in Mexico. The first president explained that the stage characterized by the absence of planning and by giving priority to low prices in different goods as a result of globalization has concluded. At the present time, the focus is on regional markets, national production and own value chains. She pointed out that free trade and private initiative are fundamental; however, the idea is to incorporate everyone in this new vision of the country for the present and the future. For this reason, the Mexico Plan has a perspective of an equitable, sustainable nation, of industrialization and economic growth; above all, of well-being for our people. He reported that the Advisory Council for Regional Economic Development and Relocation and the Business Coordinating Council are receiving proposals from all sectors as of today. The site planmexico.gob.mx is available for this purpose. He recalled that the economic strength of our country is seen in historical indicators such as: international reserves, reduction of poverty, low unemployment, growth of the minimum wage and collection. He said that our nation surpassed China and Canada; today we are the main commercial partner of the United States. The T-MEC continues because it has proven to be one of the best trade agreements in history, by virtue of its benefits in employment, regional markets and economic growth. He reaffirmed that the agreement is the only way we can compete with Asian countries, especially China. Therefore, one of the objectives of the Mexico Plan is to reduce imports from that region, to produce more in our country and in the regional market, which includes the entire American continent. He pointed out that, together with the National Development Plan 2024-2030, the mission of the Mexico Plan is long-term and includes: Relocation; increasing national content; relaunching the Made in Mexico program; well-paid jobs in manufacturing and services and increasing local supply. In addition, promoting Well-being Poles based on regional vocations; expanding access to higher and secondary education; strengthening scientific and technological development, among other actions. He stressed that the goals are clear and ambitious: increasing investment in relation to the gross domestic product; 1.5 million jobs in manufacturing and strategic sectors, as well as reaching 50 percent in national supply and consumption. Likewise, growing the value chains with national content by 15 percent in the automotive, aerospace, electronic, semiconductor, pharmaceutical and chemical sectors. Likewise, ensuring 50 percent in national government purchases; producing our vaccines; increasing 150 thousand professionals and technicians each year; sustainable investments; The aim is to achieve 30 percent of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with financing and to be one of the most visited countries in the world. The substantive goal is to reduce poverty and inequality in our country. He added that the actions to promote industry are focused on: relocation; Well-being Poles; manufacturing, maquiladora and export services industry (Immex) and development banking. He highlighted that the federal government has public investment plans in highways, passenger trains, airports, ports, energy, water, housing, education, security and labor welfare. The mixed investment plan will also promote infrastructure. The construction of 12 Well-being Poles and 100 new industrial parks is also advancing. Regarding foreign investments, the government has two thousand projects totaling 277 billion dollars from companies interested in establishing themselves in Mexico. He expressed that our country is a cultural power, we have a plan and we are united moving forward. The purpose is for all of us to be part of the Mexico Plan.
