From the Vinschagu it appears flat, but from the other side, the Engadin, it is steep and looks repulsive. Climbing it is not difficult for the average mountaineer, but the scenery is a dream. With views of the Weißkugel, Weißseespitze, Wildspitze, Piz Bernina, Tschengelser Hochwand and of course King Ortler, it is certainly one of the most beautiful peaks in the Vinschgau in terms of scenery. Personally, I really enjoyed this hike. Especially the downhill from the grade, which you can also use as a trail running route. Going alone is also OK here, as there are always people at the summit cross. And at the top of the summit cross? Of course! The "Have you ever been to Baden-Württemberg?" sticker. 😅 Always funny, I think. Tour description: From the car park at the Reschneralm, follow the forest path to the alpine pasture. From here, signs show the way. It goes over meadows and through short sections of forest. A wide, stony path then leads on through the open meadow landscape. This was built during World War II. A path then continues on steeper terrain to the summit of Piz Lad. Once you have checked the summit cross, you continue. Optionally, a path leads further over a grade. A bit of surefootedness is required, but otherwise nothing dramatic. Always follow the path and it will be fine. Once you have reached the Joc, which is already in Switzerland, the downhill begins and you should probably take out your poles again. At some point you will reach the ascent route again. From there, the descent is identical to the outward journey. ———————————————————————— Thanks for watching and see you in the next mountain video. Bye!
