TV Cultura aired the unprecedented documentary Rio Pinheiros, produced by the station's journalism department, which shows how the New Pinheiros River Project is cleaning up the river and revitalizing its banks. Reporter Eduardo Campos visited the construction site of the new treatment plants, interviewed experts and cycled the entire length of the bike path along the banks of the Pinheiros River. In the documentary, environmentalists, architects, urban planners and activists from the city give their opinions on the new initiative to clean up the water and revitalize the Marginais. In addition to new bike paths, the former Traição Plant, which has already been privatized, will be transformed into the São Paulo Plant and will become a large entertainment and gastronomy center, which will house the largest open-air cinema in Latin America. Valter Caldana is a full professor at the School of Architecture and Urbanism at Mackenzie Presbyterian University.
