PINCH POT is a technique that consists of transforming a piece of clay into an incredible object using only your hands. By opening the ball of clay with your thumb, reaching all the way to the bottom of the piece, you can create anything from bowls to vases. Light pressure on the clay, a pinch, as the technique is called, to compress and shape it. In this video I made a mug, first shaping the body into a cylinder, maintaining the aesthetic shapes I wanted to have, as well as the bottom of the piece. Then I applied a handle, made with a small snake and applied with slip. The internal and external finishes are important to make the piece well defined and look cool. Pinch Pots are handmade and must be made to become incredible pieces. I will soon be making unique and exclusive pieces available for sale to group members: I am creating an exclusive WhatsApp group for anyone who wants to receive first-hand the first pieces I am developing. Whoever joins the group will be able to buy at a special launch price and will have access to exclusive products only for participants on the golden list ;) EXCLUSIVE GROUP: https://chat.whatsapp.com/ELzU8vx5kBu... I decided to start over, from scratch, on a new journey, as an aspiring ceramist. You've probably seen me around talking about plants, gardening and landscaping, but now, I want to address issues related to the daily life of an independent artist, who wants to make a living from his art.
