#BOAT #PILOTING #MOORING Together with Mignon I continue our trip along the island of IJsselmonde. We are moored in the harbour of Rhoon and from there we visit some nice places on the island with the folding bikes. We stop at the care farm De Buytenhof where Mignon bought some nice fresh ingredients for the dish she wants to make that evening. We also make a steep climb by foot, in the hamlet of Koedood you have a hill with a beautiful view of the surroundings and there is a nice work of art. Back from our cycling adventure we cast off and go over the Oude Maas towards the Botlek area. How great to sail around here with your own boat/house between all those large sea vessels. Also exciting, but I listen carefully to my radio. We also pass the centre of Rotterdam on the Nieuwe Maas. The VB002 under the 'Zwaan'! So cool. We spend the night in the association harbour of IJsselmonde. We wanted to moor at WSV De Kreek first, but the tide was too low and my boat was too big for the harbour. We are going to Brienenoord Island with the VB003. You may have seen the green island when you drive over the Brienenoord Bridge. I had never been there and had no idea that this is a really nice and beautiful place to take a walk. You can also see in this vlog that we make a stop at the harbour St Joris in Ridderkerk to take a walk through the Crezeepolder, but that went a bit differently than planned.
