Now the last film in the trilogy about the country's first pike factory is ready. The first film told about the difficult living conditions of the brackish water pike, the vision, the planning and the first work with the establishment of the pike factory. The second film showed the opening of Denmark's first pike factory, and the first experiences with getting the pike to use the new area. This - the third film - shows that it has now succeeded. There are pike fry. The film shows, like the previous ones, that there is a lack of knowledge about the life and life cycle of the brackish water pike. Vordingborg Municipality's and Fishing Zealand's work with the pike factory has given rise to more people starting to collect and disseminate knowledge about the brackish water pike. Here in the new film you can, among other things, hear the impressive story of the escapee pike no. 573 told by Jimmi Spur Olsen, Vordingborg Municipality. Jimmi also talks about the strategy behind the success of getting natural pike fry in the pike factory at Præstø Fjord, and reveals a completely new spawning area that is on the way. Henrik Ravn from DTU Aqua talks about a large tagging project that will give us more knowledge about the brackish water pike. Finally, we would like to mention that there may be a fourth film sometime in the future that shows how the pike factory works in the long term – as this knowledge is important for the construction of new future pike factories.
