Ad Honorem Research Professor at the CSIC Topic: The incredible advances in physics raise increasingly complex and difficult-to-resolve questions. Date: December 19, 2024. Location: Universidad Popular Carmen de Michelena, Tres Cantos, Spain. Description: The impressive advances in fundamental physics during the first half of the 20th century opened up a gigantic field of research not only in this branch, but in all science and technology whose emergence has reached our days. However, despite the enormous technological development acquired, the questions, some of which I will show in this conference, have multiplied, becoming increasingly difficult to answer, and the problems we face increase in complexity, making it difficult to implement the very concept of Science that seemed to have been so clearly established until recent times. Is this a relative assessment? Are there any limitations to us, homo sapiens in the evolutionary line of species, being able to create new knowledge revolutions comparable in scale to those of the last 400 years?
