I went out to take pictures despite the very strong wind but the landscape was very clear with a beautiful play of clouds that I contrasted with a polarizing filter. To tell the truth, you should never go out to take pictures in the countryside with strong winds, both for the risk of breaking branches or even the entire tree if it is not healthy. But there is also the risk of getting very cold because in summer the temperatures are high, you sweat and... When I arrived at the place, the only positive thing was a beautiful clarity and a lot of depth, the haze had been blown away by the wind, but for the rest... very clear sky, third. In short, an almost banal situation, but in the distance I saw some very small clouds and I really hoped that they would get closer. After a few minutes the wind brought the clouds closer and brought them together almost to form a cone. I immediately got to work, I took a lot of shots, and quickly too, so as not to miss that opportunity that the wind could have blown away in a few moments. I also mounted the polarizing filter to increase the contrast between the sky and the clouds, the dry grass on the ground and the intense green of the trees. The effect is not bad, in fact, but if you look carefully, the photos with the polarizing filter do not have a homogeneous sky, the blue is very accentuated in the center while at the sides it gradually lightens. This is due to the non-optimal incidence of light and the use of a super wide angle, the 8-16. In these cases you should change the shooting angle or use a normal lens but... there's no point beating around the bush, the shot I wanted to take was with the 8-16 and exactly from that angle, otherwise it would have been another photo. I had fun, I took other shots, I tried to take a beautiful sunset but the absence of clouds and shades made the hope vain, but I will return at the first opportunity, after all summer is almost always like this with a flat sky and no clouds.
