JOYS AND SORROWS While the painter sees with each brush stroke how he is transferring his interpretation of reality onto the canvas, those who photograph in black and white see for an instant the image framed through the viewfinder, and then absolute darkness, until they extract the developed film from the tank. Cameras that jam, underexposures, overexposures, motion blur, out of focus, meaningless shots, films that have factory faults, incorrect developments. In this live I will explain how to achieve joy and avoid pain.
