Ana de Miguel at the International Philosophy Festival of the University of Caldas. She is a Professor of Moral and Political Philosophy at the Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid. One of the basic contributions of her thought consists in the reconstruction of a feminist genealogy. She has published studies on classic authors of feminist theory such as John Stuart Mill, Flora Tristán, Alejandra Kollontai and the Egyptian feminist Quasim Amin. She directs the course on the History of Feminist Theory, a historical reference for feminist training in Spain, taught since 1992 by the Institute for Feminist Research at the Complutense University of Madrid and previously directed by Celia Amorós. She also directs the Master's Degree in Interdisciplinary Gender Studies. Currently, she works on feminism as a social movement and its construction of new theoretical frameworks for interpreting reality. In this regard, she has distinguished between policies of redefinition of reality and reivindicative policies. Her latest publications focus on the search for keys to understanding how sexual inequality is reproduced in formally egalitarian societies, especially among young people.
